On your storage organization, the undies are the last ones to sort. But they are not the least. They may be small in pieces but they take up space in your closet when not properly organized. One of them are the pairs of socks.
Perhaps most of you know only one way to keep the socks in order...that includes me. And I also passed that method onto my kids as I teach them to fold and sort their own clothes already.
Here are the 3 methods to keep socks organized:
Sock In Roll
The most common method is to roll the pair of socks. For the sake of those who still don't know this, here's how...
1. Lay the pair of socks flat.
2. From the toe tip of the socks, roll until the other end.
3. Open rim of one sock (the one under), then flip it inside out to enclose the rolled part.
It will look like this.
Cross Fold
1. Lay the pair of socks flat. One on top of the other in perpendicular or cross pattern.
2. From the toe tip of the sock, fold half-way.
3. Open rim of one sock then insert the remaining parts or the other side of the sock.
4. Do steps 1 to 3 for the other sock.
It will look like this.
Simple Fold
This is similar to Cross Fold Method but is easier.
1. Lay the pair of socks flat.
2. From the toe tip of the sock, fold half-way.
3. Open rim of one sock (the one on top) then insert the remaining parts or the other side of the socks.
It will look like this.
When I learned about folding the socks, I don't roll them anymore when organizing my closet. I also noticed that the more you roll the socks, the more the rim or gartered edges become loose.
